TUSCUMBIA-Shoals singer/songwriter Dillon Hodges will release his latest work with an EP (extended play) release show at Cold Water Bookstore, Tuscumbia, on Saturday, June 12 from 7-9pm.

Dillon Hodges benedetto-guitars.com Hodges is the 2007 Flat Picking Guitar National Champion. He released his debut CD "Stormy Weather" that same year which included seven original songs. His newest work is a five-song release which serves as a preview to his fulllength CD expected to be out in 2011.

Hodges' newest fivesong release presents a modern but respectful approach to old-time music. As a departure from previous works, "Seeds I've Sown" features soulful melodies and purposeful songwriting over traditional instrumentation.

The songs serve to reveal the vices existing inside everyone and the resultant consequences of acting on impulse. Every song is honest and bears witness to a story with a moral.
