RESTAURANTS LINE UP FOR United We Dine
Each participating restaurant has chosen one day to participate. According to Beth Haddock, Executive Director for the United Way of Northwest Alabama, “This event was developed to ensure that the restaurant industry had the opportunity to be a part of the many local organizations that make a difference in United Way’s annual campaign, as well as the forty health and human service programs at our gtwenty-two partner agencies serving Northwest Alabama,” Haddock said.
La Hacienda in Florence is the featured restaurant Thursday, September 9, and Lenny’s Sub Shop in Muscle Shoals is the “United We Dine” participant Friday, September 10.
The Courier Journal is a proud sponsor of the “United We Dine” event along with Big River Broadcasting and WHNTTV 19. The daily schedule will appear in the Courier Journal several times during September beginning with this week’s issue.
“When you give to United Way, you are giving back to the community,” Haddock added. “Your gift will be put to work helping your neighbors, friends, families and countless others. You will help make our community a stronger, healthier, and safer place for all of us.”
Several days are still available. Local restaurant operators are encouraged to call the United Way now to get signed up and promoted through all three sponsoring powerhouse promotional venues. For more information, please contact the United Way office at 256-764-5892.
