SHOALS–The United Way of Northwest Alabama will kick off the annual “United We Dine” event on Saturday, September 4 at Ichiban Japanese Restaurant in Sheffield. Participating local restaurants during September have agreed to donate 10% of their sales to United Way of Northwest Alabama.

Each participating restaurant has chosen one day to participate. According to Beth Haddock, Executive Director for the United Way of Northwest Alabama, “This event was developed to ensure that the restaurant industry had the opportunity to be a part of the many local organizations that make a difference in United Way’s annual campaign, as well as the forty health and human service programs at our gtwenty-two partner agencies serving Northwest Alabama,” Haddock said.

La Hacienda in Florence is the featured restaurant Thursday, September 9, and Lenny’s Sub Shop in Muscle Shoals is the “United We Dine” participant Friday, September 10.
