Mrs. Dolores (Huggie) Hugaboom, 71 of Sheffield passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital. She was a native of Buffalo, New York and resided in the Shoals since 1983. She was a member of Christ Chapel and a retired nurse at Helen Keller Hospital.

Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. E.M. (Doc) Shell and Bill Seigal.

Mrs. Hugaboom was preceded in death by her husband Donald W. Hugaboom Sr. daughter, Deanna Bennett, sister, Evelyn Giarraffa and her parents, Frank and Sebastiana (Nellie) Gianni Martinez.

She is survived by three sons, Donald W. Jr., Darryl F., and David S. Hugaboom, daughter, Debra Holman, brother, Frank Martinez Jr., sister, Gloria DeCarlo, 18 grandchildren, 16  great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donald Hugaboom Jr. Darryl Hugaboom, David Hugaboom, Donald Hugaboom III, Timothy( T.J.) Cooper and Joshua Hugaboom.

Honorary pallbearers will include grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dolores was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor and friend. She spent 20 years providing care to the Shoals area in the OB/GYN department at Helen Keller Hospital and touched the hearts and souls of all who knew her, she loved more in one life-time than most could in three. Dolores unselfishly dedicated her life to helping others.
