CHIEF COLBERT CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION meets the first Wednesday of each month at 11:30am at Park Place in Sheffield. This month, it is September 1. Any woman 18 years of age and older who is lineally descended from a man or woman who, with unfailing loyalty to the cause of American Independence, served as a sailor, soldier or civil officer in one of the several Colonies or States is eligible for membership. THE FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES FALL FESTIVAL takes place September 7-9 from 7-9pm each night on the 2nd floor of UNA’s Gulliott Center. Come and worship with UNA athletes during this year’s event. Unleash the power and pray like never before with dynamic preaching and teaching. The event is open to the public. THE TEA PARTY PATRIOTS of North Alabama “For The People” will have Lynn Greer, candidate for the State House of Representative #2 as the the speaker at its next meeting September 2 at 6:30 at CB&S Bank in Center Star. The Patriots also invite everyone to come them plan their next event. The“Constitutional Freedom Celebration” will take place Saturday, September 18 in Wilson Park in downtown Florence from 3-9pm with bands, singers, speakers, Patriotic skits, food, fun and fellowship. Numerous acts will perform.
