THE HEALING PLACE OPEN HOUSE will take place Thursday, Feb. 2, 9am-4pm. This event will celebrate our 10th Anniversary of healing hearts, raise awareness of our services/new location, and provide free literature. The Healing Place is located at 2409 Wildwood Street, Muscle Shoals. Near the intersection of Wilson Dam Road and Second Street, turn off of Wilson Dam Road onto Wildwood Street which runs between Izzy’s Clothing Store and Dollar General. NACOLG’S NINTH ANNUAL SENIOR WINTER BALL is Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 6-9pm, at the UNA Guillot Banquet Hall. The event will feature live music, dancing, refreshments, photos, and door prizes. Deadline to register is Feb. 3. Participation is limited to the first 500 registered guests-a $5 charge per person will apply. Transportation is available through your local senior center. HELPING HANDS AUXILIARY is sponsoring a special fundraiser at the following locations: Wednesday, Feb. 1 in Shoals Hospital Lobby from 7am-4pm. Thursday, Feb. 2 in ECM Hospital Lobby from 7am-6pm; and Friday, Feb. 3 from 7am-4pm. Items for sale include kitchen gadgets, housewares, utensils/tableware, cooking sets, bakeware, microwave cookware, appliances, bathroom accessories, kitchen, household and storage items, etc. All proceeds will go to the Hospital Auxiliary.
