I thought that I would get your attention. There is little good news right now so let me offer some advice.

Go to Trowbridge’s and have an ice cream cone and enjoy it in the park. Try their chocolate malted milkshake. My dad’s office was downtown in 1961 and my earliest ice cream memories are from Trowbridge’s.

Stop by Sparky’s in Colbert County and get one of the best footlong hot dogs with chili and slaw you’ll ever have.

Don’t forget Claunch Café in Spring Park. It’s all good there and the strawberry frozen delight is so good!

If you haven’t had chicken on a stick at Champy’s you have missed a treat. The tamales are Mississippi delta tamales and so good we take them to football parties to share.

Jacks across from Alabama Outdoors has brisket nachos. That’s right, brisket nachos! They are great and the movie posters are fascinating.

The bakery in 7-Points down from Peck Ace Hardware is fabulous and their Amish muffins are great for breakfast. We split, butter and toast them.

The Midtown Butcher Shop has a really great selection for the grill. I always ask for advice and have found some tasty items for the grill. Who would have thought that bacon wrapped corn on the cob was that good?

It’s hard to drive past Yogurt Mountain. Warm cookies and great yogurt with all the toppings.

Don’t you feel better now just thinking about ice cream?

Buckle up, drive safely, and as always, your referrals are appreciated! 256-764-0112
