Vice President Kamala Harris usually remains quiet. It gets easier to see why as the months pass. This is great comedy in some aspects. In other aspects, between her and Biden, we should be terrified.

I actually thought Harris was reasonably bright a year ago, and that most of the Willie Brown comments during the campaign were just opportunistic digs.

I mean she was a US senator. She is Vice-President, so surely she was worthy of being in the Presidential discussion before primaries began in 2020. I apologize; I was mistaken.

Through any perspective, Kamala Harris has been stumbling for six months now. She is clearly unelectable. Yet, she is a heartbeat away from the US Presidency, the first woman in that position. What a disappointment for generations of women - and America all around - if Biden cannot complete his term.

Running with the Jim Crow lies that all democrats are regurgitating these days when it comes to voter ID laws, Harris essentially said during a recent BET interview with Soledad O’Brien, that many rural residents are stupid and that many have no facilities available to make copies of their photo ID’s. She even combined those insults into one sound bite.

“In some people’s mind, that means you’re going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don’t - there’s no Kinkos, there’s no OfficeMax near them.”

From the coddled queen of a dilapidated, crime-ridden, concrete mecca known as Oakland, CA, we get a public 30-second summary on the disadvantages of living in rural America.

Harris doesn’t know that rural folks usually show up to vote in person, so they rarely need a photocopy. And even rural folks know how to use that camera on one of those new-fangled cell phones.

When was Harris last on the ground in rural America to know what it looks like and what business, food, and communications offerings are around?

She had a chance to see some rural surroundings just weeks ago. After over three months as Biden’s new Border Czar, Harris finally decided to go witness the “non-crisis issues” in Texas after Trump announced he was going there with Texas Governor, Greg Abbott.

She had the opportunity to go into some rural stretches which comprise 90% of the 32 county Texas border with Mexico (29 legal border-crossing routes) and see for herself. She could have visited smaller cities to the south like Roma or Hidalgo. Rather, on her way to Los Angeles June 25, Harris stopped in El Paso, spending most of the couple of hours there at the airport or in transit.

Apparently, there is still no urgency to address the chaos. How many more little girls have to be raped all because of the border magnet, before there is an urgency? How many more will be stolen away to a brief life of sexual atrocities before their bodies are discarded in the desert? How many militants are entering under the Biden administration? You think they don’t get it? They get it just fine. They just don’t care. It collateral damage to a political end.

Climate change, immigration, white supremacy, under-sexualized and misunderstood kids, and the next Covid variation - those are the really important issues.

Most of you watching the major collaborative networks, and YouTube, Facebook, and the like won’t see the disturbances and gang activity that other, more enterprising and honest outlets will cover, disturbances that now make us understand how well the previous administration was addressing it. But they were racists, remember...

For months democrats have been screaming that voter ID requirements are more unfair to blacks and Latinas than whites. Many of us are trying to figure out what that statement means.

To Kamala Harris, it’s apparently unfair for the confused country people of all backgrounds. They may also have trouble hitching-up the wagon for the half-day ride into town and finding a pair of clean underwear that’s dry on the line.
