I don’t understand how Florence can build a bigger and better animal shelter, and a huge building for UNA football players, but can’t build a bigger, better building for our inmates in Lauderdale County.

I know that they must pay for their crime, but they are human beings and they don’t deserve to be packed in jail cells where most of the them sleep on the floor. Don’t get me wrong. I love animals and they deserve a good place to live, but so do our inmates. How can Florence come up with the money for these other buildings, but not a decent place for our loved ones who are in jail?
