After viewing the “exit strategy” of our current U.S. administration, it seems urgent that these words be heard: everything our servicemen and women did in Afghanistan was NOT in vain. Regardless of what we see or what the media is saying, please know how much we all appreciate the sacrifices made by military and civilians in this war on terror for so many years.

Life and limb has been given - blood has been shed - lives have been forever transformed by trauma and hearts have been broken due to strained relationships from extended times of separation. Your sacrifices counted in more ways than one: your being among the Afghan people gave them a taste of freedom. You gave them hope. You touched their souls simply by answering the call of duty, by giving your all for them. You were willing to fight for them. You were willing to die for them. You showed them love.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13    Well done!
