FLORENCE – The Cadillacs will present The Ultimate Oldies Show on Saturday, January 18 at 7pm at the Florence/Lauderdale Coliseum. This is the 4th Annual Fundraiser benefiting One Place of the Shoals,

This exciting trip down memory lane features the great music of the 50s, 60’s and 70’s. The Ultimate Oldies show includes Doo Wop, rock and roll, folk music, the girl groups, beach music, Motown, disco, and much more from touring professionals who know and understand the music.

“This year’s cast for the Ultimate Oldies comprises a professional touring group of about 15 entertainers who have perfected their craft,” said Dennis Odem, leader of the Cadillacs and one of the show’s primary organizers. “Their performance is something you would expect to see in Las Vegas. You’ll be glad you saw this one.”

This year The Cadillacs will open the show with an 30-minute, non-stop tribute to Elvis, Roy Orbison, Chubby Checker, James Brown, and Wilson Pickett.

The Ultimate Oldies will follow with another ageless tribute. There is a good chance that songs by Elvis, the Beatles, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Connie Francis, the Beach Boys, the Temptations, Buddy Holly, Neil Diamond, the Righteous Brothers, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli, and Peter, Paul and Mary will be included.

All proceeds go to One Place of the Shoals, the area’s only Family Justice Center and only the second facility of its kind in the state. The One Place mission is to make existing services more efficient, effective, and accessible to those who have suffered from domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, and child or elder abuse.

We’ve had three great shows in the past, raising more each year. Last year we raised 18,000. We hope to surpass the $20,000 mark this year.

Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for ages 10-18. Day of show tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for youth. Children 10 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.

Advance tickets are available at Counts Brothers Music, Odem & Odem Attorneys at Law, One Place of the Shoals, and TVA Community Credit Union.

This is shaping up as a great 50’s and 60’s show,” Odem added. “I can’t wait for Saturday.”

The Cadillacs’ motto is, “You get your money’s worth in the first fifteen minutes and the rest of the show is free.” With Odem, The Cadillacs, and The Ultimate Oldies sharing the stage, this show won’t disappoint.
