TUSCUMBIA - Most dental offices in the Shoals are now operating in an emergencies only capacity as a result of the American Dental Association recommendation last week.

The ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures until April 13.

Singing River Dentistry will remain open and available five days per week to anyone in need of emergency and essential dental services - including but not limited to facial swelling, tooth pain, and active infection causing discomfort. All non-essential dental care including dental hygiene visits, elective procedures, and cosmetic cases will be postponed.

“I am thankful that we have the doctors, the team, and the resources to continue to serve our area during this difficult time and alleviate unnecessary visits to other healthcare professionals, including hospital emergency rooms,” said Dr. Jimmy Gardiner, president of Singing River Dentistry, a five practice dental group based in the Shoals. “We will continue serving North Alabama at all of our locations including our children’s clinic in Tuscumbia.
