MUSCLE SHOALS - First Metro Bank invites the community to spread Christmas cheer by donating toys to local children. The Shoals-based community bank is hosting its annual toy drive called Operation Christmas Cheer until Friday, December 6. New unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any First Metro Bank location.

“Giving back to the communities we serve is one of our main priorities in any season, especially the Christmas season,” said First Metro Bank President and CEO, Rodney Howard. “Our annual toy drive would not be possible without the generosity of community members who join us in donating to this worthy cause,”

First Metro Bank encourages customers and non-customers alike to donate toys to help make a difference in a local child’s Christmas.

As Operation Christmas Cheer has become an annual tradition, First Metro Bank employees look forward to donating. “The fact that I can have a small part in making a difference in the life of a local child’s Christmas is priceless. It’s something that I look forward to throughout the year,” said Branch Manager, Scott Haataja.

First Metro Bank partners with United Way of Northwest Alabama each year in conjunction with Toys for Tots to make Operation Christmas Cheer a reality. All toys collected will be donated to local families and children in Northwest Alabama.
