MUSCLE SHOALS – Listerhill Credit Union hoisted a ceremonial ground-breaking last week for its new flagship member service center at the corner of Woodward and Avalon in Muscle Shoals.
Work has been underway for several weeks and is the culmination of a strategic initiative born in 2015 according to Brad Green, President and CEO of Listerhill.
“The new flagship location is a substantial investment and commitment,” stated Green. “It is designed to enhance personal service, availability, and accessibility. I remember being told one time that customer expectation can be summed up in three things. People want value, they want convenience, and they want a great experience. We’re making a commitment to deliver on all three of those.
“The cornerstone of this experience is utilization of new technology in Smart ATM’s capable of delivering full account services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with or without a teller,” Green continued. “People have the ability to choose the personal service of a teller or automated service.”
There is also no loss of functionality after hours or on weekends.
Green corrected the common misperception that new technology automatically means they are replacing people with machines.
“Nothing could be further from the truth,” he said. “We haven’t replaced any people. We simply replaced those impersonal pneumatic tubes and canisters that shoot up through the ceiling and back to the building on the other side.”
With the completion of the flagship location, the other branches on both ends of Woodward Ave. will be consolidated in to this one substantially larger facility.
“We have elements from this build that are incorporated at other sites in the Listerhill network. However, this is the first full prototype.” Green said.
There will be five of the smart ATMs in the drive thru, three service bars on the inside and 12 offices. There will be five of the smart ATMs in the drive thru, three service bars on the inside and 12 offices.
Vehicle access will be available on all frontage roads, Woodward Ave., West Avalon Ave, and State St., for an unobstructed flow and convenience.
Construction is expected to last about 12 months. Listerhill is owned by and operated for the approximately 80,000 members in 17 locations.
