FLORENCE – Florence Exchange Club sponsors numerous events in the community that allow its membership to invest more than $10,000 annually in a variety of non-profit and community organizations. The club seeks to provide funds that allow community agencies to serve. It also seeks to actively engage its membership in hands-on work for those projects which align with the club’s mission statement.

“As members of our community, it is imperative that our club and its members are active in the community. Many of our members serve on local boards of directors for charities or serve their community as volunteers. Our members make sure that the club is informed of new ways to serve the community each year,” said James Barnett, Exchange Club President.

“We’re able to orchestrate and produce programs that result in thousands of dollars that we invest in the community to help further efforts for youth leadership, Americanism, and Child Abuse Prevention.

“We’re very proud that we can directly support child abuse prevention programs alongside our members, Teresa Robertson Executive Director of the Attention Homes of Northwest Alabama and Andrea Holt, Executive Director of Shoals CASA,” said Barnett.

Both programs were gifted the $1,000 checks earlier this fall.
