SHEFFIELD – Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield an Open House and ribbon-cutting for its newly-renovated Emergency Department on Friday, October 25.
The complete emergency room renovation has expanded treatment room capacity from 17 to 22. The triage area has been upgraded to streamline flow and improve patient reception. The renovation has integrated lobby space into a combined Emergency Room and second hospital entrance. The ER now has the capacity to accommodate more than 50,000 visits per year.
“This new renovation and expansion allows us to better serve the people of our community well into the future,” said Kyle Buchanan, President of Helen Keller Hospital.
