SHEFFIELD – The ninth annual Sheffield Street Party takes place Saturday, May 11 on Montgomery Avenue in downtown Sheffield. The concert will benefit the Northwest-Shoals Community College Foundation scholarship fund.
The concert will feature the TAMS, Daniel Smith, the Sledge Review and the Fab Four. Gates will open at 6pm and music starts at 7pm.
The Fab Four is a Beatles tribute band that re-creates the Beatles through their music, costumes, and instruments. Their performance includes three costume changes representing every era of the Beatles evolving career. The group has performed for audiences in Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico and Brazil. They are well-known for entertaining audiences with such classics as, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Yesterday,” “A Day In The Life,” “Penny Lane,” “Here Comes The Sun,” and “Hey Jude.”
The TAMS is a hit group from the 1960s best known for such hits “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy”, “What Kind of Fool”, and “I’ve Been Hurt.” The group has had four number one songs at national and international levels.
The Sheffield Street Party has generated over $164,000 in scholarship funds over the years to support NW-SCC students.
