FLORENCE – The First Metro Bank Board of Directors recently announced the promotions of Cory King, Whitney Skipworth, and Jeanne Soni to positions of Assistant Vice President.
King joined First Metro Bank in 2012 as an integral part of the Technology Operations Department. He has in BS in Computer Science a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama. His responsibilities include oversight of the Bank’s cybersecurity program and the maintenance and operation of the IT infrastructure of the company.
Jeanne Soni began her banking career as a customer service representative at First Metro Bank in December 2008 after receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UNA. Soni’s work ethic and customer service efforts have earned her promotions to lending assistant, assistant branch manager, and branch manager of the Muscle Shoals office. She will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Muscle Shoals office while serving customers’ banking needs.
Skipworth has served as a banker in the Athens area for over ten years, joining First Metro Bank in December 2017. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Alabama and currently serves as a loan officer at the downtown Athens location. Skipworth is actively involved in the Athens community and serves on numerous committees and boards in the area. He will serve as an officer of the bank and the Athens Branch Manager.
