FLORENCE — People often ask Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area director, Carrie Crawford, “How can I help?” Now she has an easy answer: become an MSNHA Friend.

“People always want to know how they can be part of what we do. Before we didn’t have a convenient way for them to get involved,” said Crawford. “But now our new Friends program makes it simple and convenient for folks to join us in protecting and sharing our northwest Alabama cultural heritage.”

Anyone who wants to support the MSNHA’s efforts can become a Friend by donating:

Spring Creek Circle, $50; Bear Creek Circle, $100; Town Creek Circle, $250; Shoal Creek Circle, $500; Elk River Circle, $2,000; or any other amount.

Your donation allows the MSNHA to fund a new elementary and secondary school program that helps local students experience local historic and cultural sites.

“Donations also support an upcoming community mini-grant program. The MSNHA can access a dollar of National Park Service funding for every dollar received through the Friends program.” All donations are tax-deductible. There are assorted thank-you gifts as well.
