FLORENCE – The Shoals Archaeological Stewardship Virtual Speaker Series continues September 17 with Collecting v. Looting.  The program will feature representatives from the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians who will be talking about the theft and desecration of Native American cultural items and landscapes.

This program is free and is part of the Thousand Eyes Program initiative to stop the looting of archaeological sites in the Shoals. It is sponsored by the city of Florence Department of Arts and Museums and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
