FLPL Holiday Bike Parade!

Florence-Lauderdale Public Library’s 3rd Annual Holiday Bike Parade takes place Saturday, December 3 at 4:30pm.

FLORENCE – Florence-Lauderdale Public Library’s 3rd Annual Holiday Bike Parade takes place Saturday, December 3 at 4:30pm.

Kids can show off their holiday creativity by decorating their bicycles with lights, ornaments, ribbon, tinsel, and other items. 

Participation is FREE and all ages - children, teens, and adults are welcome.  The deadline to register is 5pm on Monday, November 28.

Register at Eventbrite. Bike riding participants need to register. Parents accompanying their child do not need to register.  

Children 6 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all riders must wear a helmet. The library and its staff are not responsible for any injuries or damages that may occur to riders, bikes, and other property.

Winners will be selected in each age category for the best decorations!

The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library is located at 350 N. Wood Ave. 

Check-in at the table near the book drop and line up along the parking lot sidewalk.

The parade begins along the Library sidewalk next to Tuscaloosa Street and goes around the Wilson Park block, returning on the Tombigbee Street side of the parking lot. 

Participants are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to the front library lawn after the parade for hot chocolate, the award ceremony, storytime on the lawn, and photo opportunities.
