THE THIRD ANNUAL WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S in the Shoals will be taking place virtually on Sunday, October 25 at McFarland Park. Although participants will be walking in their own neighborhoods, communities and social distancing, the park will still host the Promise Garden. It will be available to drive through and view from 11am-2pm on October 25.

FIRST METRO BANK is partnering with the Kruzn for a Kure Foundation to raise $30,000 in honor of Dwarfism Awareness Month. Throughout the month of October, First Metro is inviting community members to donate to the Kruzn for a Kure Foundation to fund SIOD research.
The Kruzn for a Kure Foundation is a local non-profit organization working to find a cure for Schimke Immuno Osseous Dysplasia (SIOD), a rare form of dwarfism.
Donations can be made at any window, any First Metro ATM or First Metro Live Monday-Friday 7:30am-8pm or Saturday from 7:30am-2pm.
First Metro Bank is matching 50% of each donation up to $20,000 for a grand total of $30,000.
