Calling all artists! Arts Alive is northwest Alabama’s premiere visual arts festival, and is accepting submissions for the juried show in beautiful Florence, Alabama on May 15-16.

FLORENCE – Calling all artists! Arts Alive is northwest Alabama’s premiere visual arts festival, and is accepting submissions for the juried show in beautiful Florence, Alabama on May 15-16.

This call for entries is open to all artists who are 18 years of age or older, working in painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, textiles, mixed media, metal, clay, glass, jewelry, and photography. 

Each year over $4,000 in prize money is awarded to artists in several categories across park and gallery participants. A non-refundable $30 jury and application fee is required at registration. The deadline to submit applications is Monday, March 15.  Visit the festival website at www.alabamaartsalive.com to apply for participation.  

The Kennedy-Douglass Art Center Volunteers organize this popular annual event to raise funds for arts education in area schools and to support arts in the region.  Each year approximately 120 artists sell and showcase their artwork in booths in the park during the third weekend in May. The Arts Alive gallery exhibition showcases artwork from approximately 80 artists for six weeks in May and June.  Call 256-760-6379 for more information.
