Event Set for a Shoals Favorite

George Lair

FLORENCE - Many in the Shoals musical community are joining forces on behalf of Shoals favorite, George Lair, on Wednesday, December 16 from 7-10pm at FloBama Music Hall in downtown Florence.

Drew Davis and Bart Davis at Flobama Music Hall have agreed to host the Celebration of Life event for George Lair to assist with his medical and living expenses.  Lair is a Shoals native and a local music legend.   He is a former Curator at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, and he was

Jimmy Johnson’s assistant at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio.

The Celebration of Life event will include a stellar line-up of local talent performing live on stage.  There will also be a Silent Auction during the event beginning at 6:30pm with an assortment of the memorabilia collected over the past 40 years. It includes a Keith Urban guitar, amp, and lesson tapes; Rare albums and T-shirts from George’s Lair’s collection; Autographed cap, T-shirt, Muscle Shoals Music mask from Counts Brothers Music; $25 gift card from Wildwood Tavern/Chicago Café; and much more…

This will be a Muscle Shoals All-Star Revue night to remember.  Please join these Muscle Shoals musicians for a benefit to help someone who has meant so much to this community.  Special thanks go to Rodney Hall at FAME and Debbie Dixon for lining up this amazing group of talents and to Chris Williams for donating his time as sound man.

There is no admission charge.   Everyone is just encouraged to come out Wednesday, enjoy the night, and give generously.
