TUSCUMBIA – Liberté Ministries will host a special sports fan fundraiser entitled Autographs for Orphans on Saturday, June 27 from 1-3pm at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia.

The signed auction items you see here is only a partial list,” said Arvy Dupuy, an organizer of the event and a volunteer with Liberté Ministries, a volunteer group that helps support an orphanage in Haiti.  “We have been adding each week and now have over 60 items this year.”   

“We also have seven former players and coaches committed to attend.” Those are Antonio Langham, Curley Hallman, Byron Franklin, Robert Woods, Bob Penchion, Collis Campbell and Patrick Hape.  

For $30 everyone gets a tour of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, full access and autographs to the featured players and coaches, and admission to a silent and live auction.

Autographed Pictures from Carl Erskine - Now age 93, Erskine played in 1948-1959 with the Brooklyn and LA Dodgers and was part of the group fondly referred to as The Boys of Summer,   and was teammates with Jackie Robinson.
