FLORENCE – Like so many other local organizations, Chloe’s Fund has been unable to fund-raise as they normally would because of Covid. The group’s primary fundraising efforts have been through some popular bake sales which have also been limited recently.
However, Chloe’s Fund members came up with a way to offer you those very same baked goods
in a safe way. They now offer a menu of popular baked goods that can be pre-ordered and pre-paid online. Menus can be found on the Friends of Florence Lauderdale Animal Services and the Florence Lauderdale Animal Services Facebook pages. The menu will explain how to order and prepay for your safely-wrapped goodies.
The last day to preorder from the menu is Wednesday, September 2 at 5pm. A pickup area for you to receive your order will be designated in the Florence Lauderdale Animal Services building on Saturday, September 5 from 10am-2pm. That is located at 3240 Roberson Road in the Florence Industrial Park.
There also may be some extra items you can buy on site! All proceeds from these sales benefit Chloe’s Fund in helping with medical and veterinary expenses for local animals awaiting adoption. Many of those are at Florence Lauderdale Animal Services.
This online Bake Sale is in memory of one of the co-founders of Chloe’s Fund, Glen Nelson, who passed away from COVID-19 in July. Glen and his wife Debby started Chloe’s Fund in March of 2017 after they lost their beloved dog of 16 years, Chloe. They wanted to help as many sick and injured Florence Lauderdale Animal Services animals as they could. Without them many animals’ lives would have been lost. Glen helped in every way he could.
