A LOCAL BLACK HISTORY EXHIBIT is on display at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library through March 1. Visit the library during February and see a historical photo exhibition of local families from the library’s archives.

COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY OF NORTHWEST ALABAMA, Gerald Williams Cooperative Garden Program - Free vegetable garden supplies to help qualifying local residents wishing to grow their own gardens.
Sign up through March 19. To participate in the program applicants must:
• reside in Lauderdale, Colbert, or Franklin counties
• income must not exceed monthly gross (prior to take-out, see below)
Maximum monthly gross household incomes
Single person – $1,595
Two-persons – $2,155
Three-persons – $2,715
For each additional person - add $560/month

The Cooperative Garden program is a partnership of the Community Action Agency of Northwest Alabama, TVA, Retirees, Bicentennial Volunteers Inc. and many others.
