FORD CITY – The first Annual Ford City Fall Festival takes place Saturday, October 30 from 3-6:30pm at Foodland Plaza.
The family-friendly event with an emphasis on both fun and safety for kids. A hamburger/hotdog dinner with chips and a drink and only $5.
There will be plenty of fun with a pumpkin carving contest, a bounce house, slide, a costume contest with four age groups for ages infant-12, door prizes, and Trunk or Treat.
The parade begins at the corner of County Line Rd. and 2nd St. at 3pm.
All proceeds benefit Brick Hatton Volunteer Fire and Rescue.“ according to LeeAnn Akers, a First Responder and spokeswoman for the Brick Hatton VFD.
The all-volunteer dept provides service and support to a wide coverage area in eastern Colbert county 24/7. All monies received will be used for acquisition of adequate safety gear for our members, additional radios for communication, and other equipment on our wish list,” Akers said.
“This is the first fundraiser we’ve sponsored on this scale, but we hope to make it an annual event,” she added. “We exist to provide service to our community. We can’t do that without their support.”
