TUSCUMBIA  - The Tennessee Valley Art Association is hosting a fresh holiday decorating event on Monday, November, 29. The event will take place in the Ritz Studio Annex in downtown Sheffield, AL from 6–8pm.  Guests will have the opportunity to watch demonstrations by Diane Carroll-Rowell of Something Ele’Gant Florals on making wreaths, garland, and tablescapes with fresh greenery that can easily be found outside.

This will be a lively and festive event for anyone who wants to get ideas for their own holiday decorating, or for anyone who enjoys watching someone create something beautiful. Carroll-Rowell plans for this mini-workshop style demonstration to be a great opportunity to revisit times past.

“I want to create an atmosphere of joy and excitement for the holiday season,” said Carroll- Rowell. “I want less focus on the glitz and more on the natural, easily accessible decorations I used as a kid. We all need joy more than anything right now, and bringing back the feelings of the old holiday season is something I think could do a great deal of good.”

Tickets for the event are $15. Each ticket includes one drink voucher, and there will be refreshments and a cash bar available. Guests are invited to eat, drink, and chat while they watch the holiday decorating demonstration. The Ritz Studio Annex is located directly next door to the Ritz Theatre. Tickets must be purchased in advance as seating is limited.

Tickets are available at tennesseevalleyarts.org or by calling 256-383-0533. To learn more about the Tennessee Valley Art Association, which runs the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art and the Ritz Theatre, visit tennesseevalleyarts.org.
