THE SPRAY PAINT GALAXY ART DEMO with Brian Frost at the Florence Lauderdale Public Library has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 15 from 1:30-3:30pm. This local artist will create beautiful space-themed art using spray paint on the front lawn of the library. Frost is a Florence-based artist and prop maker. Known on social media as ‘Doc Voom’, Frost has a passion for using spray paint to re-create images from the Hubble Space Telescope, but the stars are not the limit to his scope.

SHANNON PHILLIPS WILL SIGN COPIES of his book, “Valentine’s Blood,” on Saturday, June 15 from noon-3pm in the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Conference Room. A 10-minute slide show will start every 30 minutes. The author will also answer questions after each presentation about the settings where the stories take place, including a trip to Xavier Castle near Pamplona, Spain where the story began in 1240 AD.

Brave settlers on the western frontier between 1740-1807 are depicted in their daily life and death struggles. Using true historical events, the author creates fictional conversations by prominent people. If you can’t attend and want to order a signed copy, send a check for $20 for the book and $3.75 for postage and handling to Shannon Phillips, 256 Cypress Creek Dr., Florence, AL 35633.
